Finals that
will be held on February 21, 2010 at
the San Antonio
Stock Show and Rodeo. It came down to
this final event for the teams to qualify and the grit and
determination was evident at the rodeo.
This is also the only
fund raiser that Ropin’ Dreams holds each year.Ropin’
Dreams
is
a
501(c)3
children’s
charity
that was founded in
2002.Their goal is summed up by the
mission statement: “We are
dedicated to bringing a day of smiles to the child
who faces daily challenges due to serious illness or injury.”They focus on children from rural
agricultural
backgrounds or children who are excited about the western heritage.
The main focus of the
group is to give the child a “day of smiles” and remove them for a
while from
the challenges that the child is currently
facing.Be it a day at Sea World or a
Spurs Basketball game or going to the Stock Show and Rodeo, the
100%
volunteer board is happy to assist.
In addition to the
individual dreams, Ropin’ Dreams invites 25 families to attend the San
Antonio
Stock Show and Rodeo.This
year on February 7, 2010; 25 children
will hang out at the Chuck Wagons, meet PRCA Cowboys and then
attend the San
Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.
