SAN ANTONIO - The ProRodeo Hall of Fame recently announced the induction of San Antonio's favorite barrelman, Leon Coffee. The world-renowned San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has had Leon Coffee a part of the show beginning in 1983. The Blanco, TX native has provided family-friendly entertainment and comedic relief during each rodeo performance for 35 years. The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo congratulates Leon on this well-deserved honor.

When notified of the induction, Coffee told the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, "It kind of brought me to the milk right there, it brought tears to my eyes ...To know that my heroes, my friends and heroes, who are in there, and I'm in there with them - that's just something I dreamed of. I'm just tickled to death to be in there and say, 'Yes, I am in the PRCA Hall of Fame.' It's pretty wild."

Coffee will perform at the 70th annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo on February 7-24, 2019. Tickets go on sale May 16, 2018 for the 2019 Rodeo season.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo takes place February 7-24, 2019. It has received the PRCA Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year award for 13 consecutive years. Established in 1949, it has grown to be one of the largest and most prestigious single events in the city with nearly 2 million visitors entering the grounds in 2018. The success of the organization is attributed to over 6,000 volunteers who give countless hours to the organization. With community, donor and volunteer support, the organization has committed over $186 million to the youth of Texas through scholarships, grants, endowments, auctions, a calf scramble and show premiums.
