The premiere of Equus America! will take place in Houston, TX, at the Reliant Arena on February 6-9, 2003. Our second show will debut in Kansas City, MO, at the American Royal Center and Kemper Arena on April 24-27, 2003. This event is a refreshing new concept in the industry, highlighting all aspects of the equine world from proven champions and world-class competitors to educators and entertainers.

In addition to these inspiring leaders, we are very excited to announce that Equus America! has been chosen to be the exclusive host for the United States Equestrian Team’s “All Star Reining Series”at both our Houston and Kansas City events. These competitions help determine who gets their chance to “take home the“Gold” in the newest Olympic Equestrian sport – Reining. Talk about getting to see it ALL!

We are very proud to introduce “Equus Extreme!” the new “Who’s Who” of the equine competition world. This is a competition unlike anything offered in the industry today. Not a sanctioned event, Equus Extreme! is by invitation only, has no entry fee, and a combined purse of $120,000! We’ve searched the equine world –Jumping, Cutting, Freestyle Reining, Freestyle Dressage, Saddle Seat Equitation, Barrel Racing, Working Cow Horse and Trail – and have invited the four competitors in each discipline that we feel are the best. Competitors like Martha Josey, Kelly Yates, Kristie Peterson, Barbara Schulte, Todd Crawford, Todd Bergen,Teddy Johnson, Tracy Barton, Tommy Sheets, Pam Fowler Grace and many more! This exciting challenge will allow these talented individuals to compete against one another in each division for the title of Equus Extreme! These champions will also share their knowledge with our attendees as clinicians and presenters. Who better to learn your favorite discipline from than World Champions?

Our extensive trade show will showcase exhibitors of the highest caliber who are being selected for the quality and uniqueness of their products and services. These are America’s most talented artists, craftsmen, saddle makers, jewelers, tack manufacturers, clothing designers and everything else equine that your heart could desire!
For your evening enjoyment we have planned three spectacular programs, known as Equus Enchantment, that include magical performances by the famous Arabian Nights Theatre from Orlando, Florida. Walter Farley’s famous Black Stallion will be there to thrill the audience as well as a special mystery appearance of the Phantom of the Opera and his beloved Christine performing Grand Prix level dressage. See your favorite clinicians in a whole new light while they entertain you as never before in these special performances. To top off this premier exposition, Equus America! offers the community and participants an opportunity to be part of an amazing program called the Black Stallion Literacy Project. This entrepreneurial, national, non-profit organization is providing children with the motivation to read, igniting their imaginations and their desire to learn. The program motivates children toward successful lives by helping them discover the joys of reading and wonders of learning through the magic of real horses and Walter Farley’s Black Stallion books. Equus America! is honored to have a part in supporting America’s youth because they are tomorrow’s Equus Extremes!
